Watching Ellie

Emmy Award-winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Seinfeld”) returns for a second season as the star of the half-hour comedy detailing the life of a Los Angeles club singer, Ellie Riggs (Louis-Dreyfus). Ellie is a single woman living in Los Angeles who each week confronts all manner of annoyances – whether she’s sacrificing artistry for her next paycheck or returning to her shrink to confront relationship issues. Surrounding Ellie’s world is her pretty, married younger sister Susan (Lauren Bowles, “Ghost World”); her ex-boyfriend with an offbeat sense of humor, Edgar (Steve Carell, “The Daily Show”); her on-again/ off-again boyfriend, band guitarist Ben (Darren Boyd, BBC’s “Smack the Pony”); and her oddball veterinarian neighbor, Dr. Zimmerman (Don Lake, ”Best in Show”).

This season, show is filmed in front of studio audience. “Watching Ellie”is written and created by executive producer Brad Hall (NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” “Brooklyn Bridge”), and is produced by NBC Studios.
