So Carter invites the entire Hennessy clan to his mansion, and that's where Paul recognizes the sharp-tongued butler, Cody Grant (Robert Guillaume — who, 25 years ago, won his first Emmy for playing the similarly cutting butler Benson on Soap) as having once been Carter's crew chief. After a heart attack, Grant explains, he was forced to retire. "So, now I dust." It's an eventful evening for Paul, especially after he makes a misguided joke to the kids about "giving 20 bucks to whoever steals the best thing."
